My name is Sacha Schenker and 17 years ago I began my yoga journey which has continued to inspire and improve my life.

Sacha Schenker Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT)

After completing my yoga teacher training in 2018 I started offering private yoga classes. Working independently with students allowed me to see the importance of offering guidance and movements that are unique to each individual.

By addressing my own health concerns, I have developed an understanding of holistic healing and how body, mind, and spirit are interconnected. It is through this experience that I sought training and studies in Yoga Therapy & Trauma Sensitive Yoga. In 2020, I began my Yoga Therapy training at the Yoga Therapy Institute, and I am now a
Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). In addition to my yoga therapy practice, I’ve joined the Yoga Therapy Institute team as a mentor to support students with their case studies.

In 2022 I completed the  300-Hour Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) Certification with The Center for Trauma & Embodiment at JRI and became a TCTSY facilitator. In addition to facilitating TCTSY to veteran groups through the OSRP, a 20-Day Residential PTSD Educational and Treatment Program for Military Veterans and RCMP, I recently joined the OSRP team as the Trauma Sensitive Yoga Therapist.

As I continue my journey, my heart-based mission is to encourage anyone, regardless of age, size or accessibility— to embrace yoga and yoga therapy. I look forward to meeting you wherever you find yourself in your journey to healing and wellness.
